J.b Foldy - Wouthuysen wave functions and conditions of transformation between Dirac and Foldy - Wouthuysen representations // Journal of Mathematical Physics, 2009, Volume 50, Issue 12, art. no. 122302 a RFNC - VNIIEF, Sarov, Russian Federation The block diagonalization of the Hamiltonian is not sufficient for the transformation to the Foldy - Wouthuysen ( FW ) representation. The conditions enabling the transition from the Dirac representation to the FW one are formulated and proven. The connection between wave functions in the two representations is derived. The results obtained allow calculating expectation values of operators corresponding to main classical quantities. Pushkov V. A., Tsisar D. V. The prototype of the calorimeter consists of 256 ( 22 × 22 × 180 mm3 ) cells of light-detecting PbWO4 ( PWO ) monocrystals read out with 5 × 5 mm2 Avalanche Photo Diodes ( APDs ). Three dedicated front end cards with 24 channels of electronics were designed and produced for using in the tests, each channel consisting of one fast and two slow shapers, a time to amplitude converter and three identical 12 - bit peak sensitive Analog to Digital Converters ( ADCs ). The high voltage bias regulator for APD is located on the same card. The measured TOF resolution is described as σt = 0,24 / EGeV2 + 0,4 ns. Starikov F. A.,a Aksenova V. P.,b Atuchinb V. S.c Correction of vortex laser beams in a closed - loop adaptive system with bimorph mirror // Optics Letters, 2009, Volume 34, Issue 15, Pages 2264 - 2266 a RFNC - VNIIEF, Sarov, Russian Federation The sensing of phase front of the vortex laser beams has been carried out with the help of a Hartmann - Shack sensor. The vortex beam is generated in the form of a Laguerre - Gaussian beam ( LG01 mode ) with the help of the special helicoidal phase plates manufactured by the kinoform technology. The measured shifts of focal spots on the hartmannogram are compared with the calculated shifts. From the measured wave front tilts the reconstruction of singular phase surface has been performed with using the novel reconstruction technique. The phase surface reconstruction is demonstrated in the case of distorted vortices as well. The correction of an optical vortex is undertaken in the close - loop adaptive system including the bimorph deformable piezoceramics - based mirror. Severijns N.,a Belyaev A. A.,b Erzinkyan A. U. Leuven, B - 3001 Leuven, Belgium The angular distributions of γ rays and α particles from oriented Bk250, Es253,254, and Fm255 nuclei were investigated to extract hyperfine interaction information for these actinide impurities in an iron host lattice. The hyperfine field of einsteinium in iron was found to be Bhf ( EsFe ) = 396 ( 32 ) T. With this value the magnetic moment of Es254 was then determined as | µ | = 4,35 ( 41 ) µN. Golovkov M. V.l The 8He and 10He spectra studied in the ( t, p ) reaction // Physics Letters, Section B: Nuclear, Elementary Particle and High - Energy Physics, 2009, Volume 672, Issue 1, Pages 22 - 29 a Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, JINR, RU - 141980 Dubna, Russian Federation The low - lying spectra of 8He and 10He nuclei were studied in the 3H ( 6He, p ) 8He and 3H ( 8He, p ) 10He transfer reactions. The 0+ ground state ( g. s. ) of 8He and excited states, 2+ at 3,6 - 3,9 MeV and ( 1+ ) at 5,3 - 5,5 MeV, were populated with cross sections of 200, 100 - 250, and 90 - 125 µb/sr, respectively. Some evidence for a 8He state at about 7,5 MeV was obtained. We discuss a possible nature of the near-threshold anomaly above 2,14 MeV in 8He and relate it to the population of a 1 - continuum ( soft dipole excitation ) with a peak value at about 3 MeV. The lowest energy group of events in the 10He spectrum was observed at ~ 3 MeV with a cross section of ~ 140 µb/sr. We argue that this result is consistent with the previously reported observation of 10He providing the new 10He g. s. position at about 3 MeV. Golovkov M. S.,a Grigorenko L. V.,a,b,c Ter - Akopian G. V.k Soft dipole mode in 8He // Physics of Particles and Nuclei Letters, 2009, Volume 6, Issue 2, Pages 118 - 125 a Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russian Federation The low - lying spectrum of 8He was studied in the 3H ( 6He, p ) 8He transfer reaction for small center of mass angles. The 0+ ground state ( g. s. ) of 8He and excited states, 2+ at 3,6 - 3,9 MeV and ( 1+ ) at 5,3 - 5,5 MeV, were populated with cross sections of 200, 100 - 250, and 90 - 125 µb/sr. Some evidence for the excited state at about 7,5 MeV can be found in the data. The possible nature of the near - threshold anomaly above 2,14 MeV in 8He is related to the population of a 1- continuum ( soft dipole excitation ) with a peak energy value at about 3 MeV. This assumption can probably resolve the problem of a large uncertainty existing in the experimental data on the 8He 2+ state energy. Dubinov A. E. Complete set of ion-sound modes velocities in plasma of multi - ion composition // Physica Scripta, 2009, Volume 80, Issue 3, Article number 035504 RFNC - VNIIEF, Sarov, Russian Federation A simple procedure that allows finding a complete set of ion - sound modes velocities in plasma, containing a large number of ion species, is proposed. Model examples of the plasmas with different laws of ion composition of the plasma and thermal energy on species are considered.
