More than 350 specialists from 50 domestic and foreign organizations (USA, France) took part in the conference.
Overall 148 reports were presented by the visitors from scientific institutions and production companies of the atomic branch, the lecturers and postgraduate students of the RF universities, as well as by the scientists from the US national laboratories (Sandia NL) and the laboratory of stratospheric studies (France).
The wide range of problems related to scientific and applied trends were examined, which are to be substantiated by high-productive computations. Numerical simulations are highly requested today in aircraft building and automobile industry, atomic power engineering, space and rocket industry. The acute character of these issues is additionally motivated by the State Initiative for development of super-computer technologies and implementation of the same into science-intensive branches of the national economy. The reports, presented at the conference, confirmed that the domestic software packages and simulation codes are ready to meet the challenges of the present day.
The first deputy director of the Institute of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics Rashit Shagaliev, who had his word at the closing ceremony, pointed the urgent need for super-computer technologies, promotion of which is to be supported by joint efforts of the respective ministries and departments. The participants of the conference underlined the high scientific level of the presented reports and their appreciation of the accompanying discussions, specially mentioning the active involvement of the younger generation into the activities of the conference.
